Tasting

Bluff My Wine @ The Mulcaster

Six wines. Two hosts. One of them is lying! The 1823 Cellar tasting with a twist returns to The Mulcaster this September. Taste your way through six wines while two hosts talk you through each one, except that only one of them is telling the truth. Trust your palate, watch their faces and call it. Tickets £15, tasting only, and they go quickly. Stay for dinner in the Grill or the Pub afterwards and settle the argument over a table.

Our house-aged prime rib, sliced to order, with bone marrow gravy, house horseradish, beef fat roast potatoes, buttered greens and crushed carrot and swede. You won't find this anywhere else in Jersey. Downstairs in the Mulcaster Pub, choose from Prime Rib or Half Roast Free Range Chicken, served with all the trimmings. Upstairs at 1823 Grill, the same great roast in a more refined setting, with a wine list to match. Whichever floor you choose, Sunday lunch at The Mulcaster is worth planning your weekend.
